Tribute to the Twin Towers

NYC
For the past five or six years we have cruised northwards from Florida passing through NYC on our way up to Maine and back. The twin towers were always such a magnificent sight from the water. Indeed, while in Long Island they could be seen from 25/30 miles away on a clear day.

Other Cruising Areas

image of Mokoia ScotlandI first learned to sail upon my father's yacht Mokoia on the Clyde during the 1950/60's. It is a wonderful cruising area with magnificent scenery and many delightful anchorages.
image of Skulmartin

Ireland and France

Still in Scotland our first boat with our own family was Skulmartin and on her we sailed throughout the West of Scotland and also to Ireland and to the Brittany Coast. They are also great cruising areas. The hospitality in Ireland is outstanding and the food and wine in France are terrific.

Europe

As the family grew in size we moved to a slightly larger boat - this time a Fastnet 34 called Schuss and on her we again sailed throughout Scotland, Ireland and the Brittany coast of France. In this picture we are rounding the Fastnet lighthouse.
image of Strathspey ExumasNow that we are based in Florida we have also cruised in the remote Exumas and other islands in the Bahamas on Strathspey, our Pearson 40 which with its shallow draft is ideal for the shallow crystal clear waters of the Bahamas.
